Greg graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2016, specializing in human rights law and criminal law. While in law school he was the recipient of numerous academic awards and honours, including The Honourable Wallace Nesbitt Memorial Scholarship and The National Association of Japanese Canadians & Roger Sachio Obata C.M. Prize in International Human Rights Law.

Prior to law school, he earned a PhD in philosophy from the University of Calgary. He was a philosophy instructor at the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University, teaching a wide variety of courses at both introductory and advanced levels and consistently receiving highly positive student evaluations.

Greg is also an adjunct instructor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Calgary. He has taught jurisprudence (philosophy of law) there since 2020.
